Hello everyone! I'm finally back with a fashion-ish post. There have been some exciting new things going on lately, (I decided to double major and found out that I will still be graduating at least one year early, my family finally moved to North Carolina, I just finished up my summer classes, etc.) and one of the most exciting things is starting a business! The business that I have started is rooted in my aspirations to work in conservation and/or medicine as a primatologist. My business is called Grape Apes, (like great apes... get it? No? Well I think it's funny). I am working alongside my mother (who basically came up with the name so I can't take credit for that), and my husband. 10% of Grape Ape's net profits will be donated directly to The Dian Fossey Gorillas Fund to aid in the protection and conservation of gorillas. They are such beautiful and intelligent creatures that are severely endangered due to poaching, the bush meat trade, and environmental degradation. We have started with four different colors of shirt and are in the process of introducing new styles and colors. Also be on the lookout for mugs and sweaters this fall (#muglove #sweaterweather)! You can check out our website here, and be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to know about new releases, sales, giveaways, and events! We are currently having an Instagram giveaway, so you can head on over to our Instagram @grapeapesapparel to see the rules to enter!
Hello everyone! I could have sworn that I posted this months ago but it appears that I did not... I found a lot of great inspiration on Pinterest for my son's third birthday party. He is (or was at the time I took these photos) obsessed with Paw Patrol.
I have not had any time recently to shoot actual "Outfit of The Day" posts but I would like to start blogging more frequently and introduce not so fashion-y content to my blog, (I know, I know, fashion-y is not a word. My lab professor took points off of my experiment data sheet because I described a reaction color as "black-ish." I'm still salty about it).
Anyways, here are a few of my latest Instagram outfit posts and some recent photos that were appealing to my aesthetic that particular day. There are also links to some similar items at very good prices!
This soft and fluid faux suede dress is perfect for the summer. It is light and airy and only cost me around $7 at Ross! Find a similar dress here.
These beautiful falls at Valley Falls in West Virginia, and this bridge in Downtown Fairmont appealed to the aesthetic of the day.
This stunning necklace was created by my talented aunt who has her own Etsy shop and even does custom jewelry designs.
I found this comfortable romper at Charlotte Russe for $15 and it has been a go to during this hot weather. Here is something similar!
It's been what feels like an eternity since I've posted here. I've been more active on my YouTube recently and been traveling to visit family, so I haven't had very much time on my hands. Hopefully I plan to have some new Outfit Of The Day posts and videos in the near future, so keep a look out for those :) Until then, here are some of my latest makeup tutorials :)
